Christopher M. West - CEO
Christopher M. West is the founder and CEO of Green River Capital, LC, a national REO asset management company. Over the past 20 years, Mr. West has steered his career towards achieving an expertise in the acquisition, management and disposition of Real Estate Owned (REO) properties. Mr. West holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Spring Garden College, and has received professional development and training certificates from both Villanova and Penn State universities. He served on the board of directors for Total Energy Inc., and is an active participant within the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Ronald McDonald House.
Joseph D’Urso - President
Joe has been in the financial industry for 20 years and has spent 19 of those years in all aspects of the mortgage capital markets. He currently is the CEO of GC Mortgage Advisors LLC and provides advice and consulting services to financial institutions in many areas of the mortgage business. Prior to starting GC Mortgage Advisors, Joe was the Head of the Residential Loan Businesses at Merrill Lynch including the trading desks, sales, banking, servicing, due diligence and origination businesses. Prior to joining Merrill, Joe spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs in various roles including distressed loan trading, head of asset management and servicer surveillance, global mortgage department CFO and head mortgage controller. Joe graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in Accountancy.
Lorenz Schwarz - COO
Lorenz has been active in the commercial and residential mortgage servicing industry for over 20 years, most recently holding the position of President at Phoenix Asset Management, LLC. Lorenz has also held various management positions within some of the industry’s top mortgage servicers, serving as Director of REO at Select Portfolio Servicing, VP REO at Wilshire Credit Corp, and Director of Real Estate at JE Robert Co. In addition to REO management, Lorenz has also been heavily involved in other aspects of mortgage servicing including collections, loss mitigation, foreclosure, valuation, and claims management.
Mark Santiago - CFO
Mark Santiago brings over 15 years experience in financial leadership, including three years as a CFO for privately held companies and five years as Director of Accounting and Finance for publicly traded companies. Mr. Santiago has broad experience in all aspects of Accounting and Finance in industries including mortgage servicing, financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing. Mr. Santiago spent twelve years in the Bay Area working for Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies, and Advanced Fibre Communications, before returning to Utah as a CFO level consultant to small and mid-size companies. Mr. Santiago came to Green River Capital in 2008 to assume the newly created CFO role necessitated by the growth and diversity of the company. Mr. Santiago holds Accounting and MBA degrees from Brigham Young University, and has current licenses as a CPA and CMA.
Brent Taggart - Sr. Vice President, Client Relations
Brent Taggart has worked in the Real Estate and Mortgage Trading industry for 13 years and is Vice President of Business Development and the Commercial Division at Green River Capital. Brent began his career at Fairbanks Capital where he learned the fundamentals of default servicing. During his time at Fairbanks, he worked up the ranks from the operations side to eventually Senior Analyst in the analytics department where he analyzed large sets of data for clients as well as for the Senior Executive Team. Following Fairbanks, Brent worked for Credit Suisse in New York as a Vice President on the Residential Scratch and Dent Trade Desk. His responsibilities included the pricing, due diligence, portfolio management, and oversight of servicing of the portfolio. He worked at Credit Suisse for 4 years and was then hired by 406 Partners as the Senior Vice President of Trading to work in the same capacity as he did at Credit Suisse. His duties at 406 Partners also included Business Development and Client Management. Brent has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Utah and holds the Series 7 and 63 licenses.
